Alpha Xi Delta became
the second national sorority at Lycoming College when their charter was
signed on April 17, 2004. Each sister of Alpha Xi Delta is unique and
together carries out the ideals of personal development, scholarship,
friendship, and responsibility. Each sister of Alpha Xi Delta contributes to
these ideals and makes the sisterhood as unique as it is. Alpha Xi Delta strives
to achieve excellence in education and involvement here and beyond Lycoming
College. Alpha Xi Delta has kept the honor of the highest GPA here on this
campus. Many sisters are involved in honor societies and clubs including:
CAB, CAC, Circle K, Pre-Health Society, Lycourier, Senate, Psi Chi
(Psychology, and Beta Beta Beta (Biology). Alpha Xi Delta also
strives to achieve excellence in philanthropy. Alpha Xi Delta’s national goal
is to "Choose Children." To help "Choose Children," Alpha
Xi Delta focuses two major events, Annual Kickball Tournament and Monster
Mash, towards the Children Discovery Workshop at the YMCA. Other philanthropy
activities Alpha Xi Delta is involved in include: AIDS Walk, MS Walk, Relay
for Life, Volley for a Cure, Tutoring Children, and many others. |
