What is SPS?
The Society of Physics Students (SPS) is an organization for any student with an interest in Physics. We are a division of the American Institute of Physics and there are more then 6,000 of us. Watch out, we are everywhere! Anyone interested in joining is encouraged and welcome. To join, contact one of our officers or a physics faculty member. We also have a physics honor society called ΣΠΣ or Sigma Pi Sigma.

It exists to honor outstanding scholarship in physics, to encourage interest in physics among students at all levels, to promote an attitude of service of its members towards their fellow students, colleagues, and the public, and to provide a fellowship of persons who have excelled in physics.
